Yes — every piece is authenticated xiangyunsha from our own family's GI-certified atelier in Shunde, one of the last places the silk is still dyed by hand with yam, mud and sun. It comes to you with its origin, not just its name.

Each piece is cut and hand-finished, hem rolled by hand, and checked before it leaves us. A single length takes a full season to make — nothing here is hurried, and nothing leaves the atelier that we would not keep ourselves. With YÀNZǏ, we are just selling a piece, but we are showcasing a Chinese traditional cultural heritage craftsmanship to the Western world.

Xiangyunsha is a living fabric, and it asks to be cared for by hand — the traditional way, which is also the gentle way.

Washing. Soak in cold water for about 5 minutes, then wash by hand, gently, with no chemical detergent. The silk should be patted clean, never rubbed or wrung, as rubbing harms the surface.

Drying. Lift it straight from the water and hang it at once, unfolded, away from direct sun. It dries smooth on its own, no ironing needed. A light steam, if you wish, will even it perfectly.

With time. Should the colour ever look tired, warm a little olive oil between your hands and stroke it lightly along the grain of the silk, following the weave. The depth returns almost at once.

Cared for this way — by hand, without chemicals, the silk is kind to the earth, and only grows more itself with the years.

Once your payment goes through and confirmed. These beautiful pieces are already made, from this season's silk. Yours is packed by hand and sent from our Hamburg house within a working day or two, then delivered in 2 to 3 working days within Germany, and 3 to 6 across the rest of Europe. Every piece travels tracked and insured, from our hands to yours.

Something clear and simple. You choose from the newest silk samples from us and settle the piece in full, and the making of the silk begins for you — by hand in our family atelier in Shunde, and arrive in yours hands within 3 to 5 weeks, with secured updates from us along the way. It will be new silk and new design, made only for you: not a copy of what sold, but a piece of its own.

In full at the time of your order, through a secure checkout. Whether your piece is ready now or pre order on the coming silk, the moment your payment arrives it is confirmed as yours and its making, or its journey to you. A single payment secures it, nothing held back later, no balance to chase.

Because your piece is made only once you've chosen it. We don't cut into a rare silk on speculation, or produce for a shelf display — each piece comes into being because someone truly desired it. Settling in full is what begins : it lets us give the silk to your desire and no other, so nothing is made wasted. You are not waiting on a piece ; you are the reason it’s made. This is simply what brings your piece into being.

You have 14 days from receiving your piece to withdraw, without giving a reason. To keep your refund whole, please return pieces in their original condition : unworn beyond a boutique fitting, unwashed, complete, and with their original tags and packaging.

If a piece is returned worn beyond a simple fitting, washed, marked, damaged, scented, or incomplete, we will reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value, in accordance with § 357a BGB, and refund the balance.

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility, unless the return is due to our mistakes, in which case we cover it. Refunds are issued once the returned piece has been received and inspected, within 14 days of receipt or of your proof of postage.

Pre-Order pieces are made to your individual specification and are excluded from the right of withdrawal under § 312g (2) No. 1 BGB.
