The name: 丝 means silk thread — the first thing, before the root, the sun or the river.
Before the sun, before the river mud, there was only a thread. Sī is the finest line we make, cut from the very edge of the length, so that nothing of this silk is left behind. Tie it at the wrist, at the throat, around the handle of a bag. A single stroke of lacquered black that turns amber when it moves.

暮砂 Mù Shā · Sable du Soir: A muted camel warmth, like sand in the last light of day.
暮蓝 Mù Lán · Bleu du Soir: A softened blue with the stillness of early evening.
Material: 100% mulberry silk; authentic Xiangyunsha from our Shunde atelier.
Dimensions: Two ribbons, each approximately 6 × 90 cm.
Care:
Wash: Soak in cold water for approximately five minutes. Gently wash by hand without chemical detergent; pat clean. Never rub or wring.
Dry: Hang each ribbon immediately, unfolded, away from direct sunlight.
Finish: No ironing is needed; use light steam if desired.
Over time: If the colour appears tired, warm a trace of olive oil between your hands and stroke very lightly along the weave. Test first on an inconspicuous area.
