The name: 墨 Mò means ink — the deep lacquered black of the silk's front face.
Iron-rich mud from the riverbed is laid across one face of the silk and left to the sun. Where it meets the tannin of the root, the silk turns the colour of ink dried on old paper — deep, lustrous, never flat. Mò is named for that black. 暮蓝 Mù Lán · Bleu du Soir: A muted blue with the stillness of early evening.
Material: 100% mulberry silk; authentic Xiangyunsha from our Shunde atelier.
Dimensions: 55 × 55 cm.
Care:
Wash: Soak in cold water for approximately five minutes. Gently wash by hand without chemical detergent; pat the silk clean. Never rub or wring.
Dry: Hang immediately, fully unfolded, away from direct sunlight.
Finish: No ironing is needed; use light steam if desired.
Over time: If the colour appears tired, warm a trace of olive oil between your hands and stroke very lightly along the weave. Test first on an inconspicuous area.
